Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri will miss the start of the Premier League season after suffering a broken leg at the club’s pre-season camp in Austria.

The French starlet fractured his right fibula during a training match and now faces a lay-off of up to three months.

“Samir Nasri has sustained a fractured fibula during this morning’s training session at the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria,” a club statement confirmed.

“The midfielder will be out of action for two to three months.”

Nasri joined the Gunners from Marseille last summer and netted six league goals for the club in 2008/09, including both in a 2-1 win against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

The news comes just days after Emmanuel Adebayor left North London in a big money move to Manchester City, although manager Arsene Wenger was recently boosted by the news that Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky is due back in action in the autumn.
